Franklin's Halloween

Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Franklin. First, he was so excited for Halloween night. He tried to find a costume. Then his friends were talking to each other about their costumes. They told Franklin to find them at the party, but didn?t tell him what they were dressing up as because they wanted it to be a secret. At the party, Franklin thought the ghost was Bear, but it was really Owl. Franklin knew the ghost was Owl because he found a feather. All the friends brought Bear candy from the party because he was too sick to go. In the end, Franklin and his friends still had a lot of candy even though they shared with Bear.

Our favorite part of the story is when all of the animals gave Bear some of their candy because he was sick. We like this because Franklin made Bear?s Halloween good even though he was sick and couldn?t go out trick-or-treating. It shows how to be nice to others by sharing. Our favorite character is Bear because he was sick. He was a nice character even though he could have been grumpy and mean. This story relates to our lives because we celebrate Halloween and we love candy like Franklin.

This book has great pictures. It is not a chapter book so it is nice to have pictures to help understand the story. We liked looking at the costumes the characters were wearing, too. We think that other people should read this book around Halloween time because it is a really good Halloween story.
