This book is about a boy who wanted to play baseball and his older brother kept saying no. The little brother threw the baseball at his head. Then, he found a game down in the cellar so he took it upstairs to play. The boys started the game. It was a really weird game and strange things happened in it. Their sister was in the bathroom and froze. Also, a card comes up and a robot appears to kill Walter. Finally the boys find themselves in the living room with everything back to normal.
I liked when the robot came as part of the game. The character I like best is Walter, and I liked it when the little brother hit Walter in the head with the ball. This author also wrote the book Jumanji.
I think that most first graders will like this book. There are a lot of words, but if you have help reading it, you will really enjoy it. It is full of action.
