The Magnificent Seven

This book is about the first team gold medal won by the American Women's Gymnastics team. The book is divided into chapters based on each gymnast's life story, including where they are from, how they grew up, and their struggles to make it onto the Olympic team. The book continues to reveal the excitement of Olympic competition and final victory. There is so much to learn about the lives of these female gymnasts.

This book is one of my favorites because it is about gymnastics and I am a gymnast. The author gathered his information from personal interviews with the gymnasts and it was great to read what the gymnast said themselves. The pictures are all actual photographs but they are not only of the Olympics but also pictures of their regular lives. The pictures make the biographies more interesting!

I recommend this book for gymnasts that aspire to make it to the Olympics. This book would also be great for any athlete who understands what it takes to work hard and to become the best at what they do! Just like the females on the Olympic team!
