After Arthur's family pack up their car, they hit the road for vacation. When they get to the motel by the beach, they have the smallest motel room ever. Then it starts to rain and rain. Arthur plans field trips for his family. They go to a factory, a farm, and a movie. Finally, on their last day, the sun is out. They have a wonderful time at the beach. When they get home, Arthur is so excited to see his best friend Buster !

My favorite part of the story is when D.W. says "Do we have to sleep in this puny little motel room ?" She makes me laugh. My favorite character is D.W. because everything she does and says makes me laugh. My family goes on vacation too. Sometimes, things go wrong for us also. The pictures help tell the story a lot.

I think others should read this story because it is a very, very funny book.
