Just think of a cat who is all alone. Freckles has nothing to do and no one to play with so he decides to go out of his house and go to a park . He swings on the monkey bars and the slides. After a long day at the park, he becomes hungry and decides to go back home. When he got there, there was a surprise waiting for him!

Cats are my favorite so I really liked this book. My favorite part was when the cat goes to the park because I love to play on monkey bars and slides. The character I liked was the cat because I liked how he got to do everything outside. The picture when the family found the cat was my favorite because I liked how he finally came home. It was nice to see the whole family together again.

I think this book is good for people who are just starting to read. I recommend this book because there were a lot of characters and the pictures remind me of my favorite T.V. show. People will find it interesting that a cat can open the front door!
