Do you like suspenseful scenes? You would like Number the Stars by Louis Lowry. There are 137 pages in this book. This book takes place in Denmark during World War II. When the Jewish people went to synagogue the Rabbi said the Nazi have all the addresses of where the Jews live. Now the Jews have to hide from the German soldiers. The main characters are Ellen, Annemarie, Mama, uncle Henric and Peter.

A suspenseful scene is when Annemarie gets stopped on the trail carrying the package Uncle Henric to save the Jews. I thought the book was interesting. I liked the book. I liked it because not very many books have suspenseful scenes. My favorite part was when Annemarie gets stopped on the train; you don?t know what will happen next. I would recommend this book. It is very daring. I would recommend this book to people who like thrilling plots. The story is about sneaking Jews in Sweden and I hope you like it.
