Heckedy Peg

The characters are Heckedy Peg, the mother, and the children named Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The setting is the mother's house and the witch's house. Each child asked for something different from their mother. The children decided to play. The witch came. She tricked the children and turned them into food. The mother went looking for the children. She found them at the witch's house and had to save them.

My favorite part is when Heckedy Peg turned all the children into food. I liked the black cape on the witch. The book reminds me of the Wizard of Oz because of the wicked witch.

I recommend this book to all first graders because they would like the witch and the seven children.
