The Girl With 500 Middle Names

Alexandria's classmates at school make fun of her and are mean to her because she is a new student and because she is poor. Her mom makes sweaters with names on them to sell at stores. Alexandria wears the sweaters to school because she doesn't have new school clothes. She tells everybody that the names on the sweaters are her middle names. Everybody thinks she's cool after that. The other girls even buy the sweaters from her mother.

My favorite part of the story is when Alexandria wears the sweaters to school because they even though she doesn't like them they are special. I also like it when her classmates start being nice to her because she didn't have any friends before that. This story reminds me that we should not be friends with someone just because they dress nice.

I think others should read this book because it will make them happy, especially when her mom starts selling the sweaters.
