The Bad Beginning

Have you ever seen a man with pale green skin? The Bad Beginning is a story about three orphans Sunny, Klaus and Violet, who live with Count Olaf. The Count has really gross skin and is very mean to the kids. The kids try to get away from Count Olaf but no matter how hard they try, the Count always finds them.

This story reminds me of a friend I have who is an orphan. He lived with a very mean man. This book is a sad book because I would not want to live with a very mean man. My favorite part of the story was when the orphans finally got to live with a nice family.

I recommend this book to people who like a series of books. There are nine books in this series. I think kids ages nine and up would like this series. The best part about reading a book from this series is that when you're done with one book, you can read another one. I think both boys and girls would like these books because there are boy and girl characters in the story.
