Double Fudge

Double Fudge is about a boy of twelve years old and his little brother. His name is Peter Hatcher, and his little brother's name is Farley Drexel Hatcher, but everyone calls him Fudge. Fudge soon becomes very obsessed with money, so Mr. and Mrs. Hatcher take the boys' to Washington D.C. to show Fudge how money is made, hopefully to get him out of his obsession, when they run into some long lost cousins of Mr. Hatcher...
I liked this book because it was hysterical when they got stuck in the elevator on Halloween. It heartfelt when the mom told Peter about how the dad grew up with their crazy relatives. Crazy when Fudge's bird got sick, and when they meet Richard Rich. Last, but not least is that it was very cute when Richard and Fudge wanted to compare how handsome they were. My favorite pat was when they went to the shoe store and their baby sister starts crying and Fudge starts running all over the and and there is total chaos, that part was really funny.
I think it would interest 3rd to 5th graders. It would also interest people who like realistic fiction. People that like realistic fiction should also read the other four books in the series.
