Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Dog Days

This book is about a boy named Greg and his family. One day they get a pet dog. But then something bad keeps happening. The dog keeps running away. Read the story to find out if it comes back.

I give this book five stars for many reasons. First, I thought this book was really funny because the dog sleeps smack dab in the middle of Greg’s bed and when he wakes up every morning he uses Greg’s face as a launching pad, every single day! Second, the book was so silly I could not turn my eyes away from it. For example, when they were thinking of pet names, Rodrick thought of “Turtle”, which would be “Turd” for short.” Finally, the illustrations have lots of good details. They add a lot to the story. As you can see, this book is worth reading.

Kids who are in 2nd to 4th grade would like this book because it is about a kid who is in school just like they are. I recommend this book because there are so many funny parts.
