The Tail of Emily Windsnap

Have you ever had a secret? The book is about a girl named Emily Windsnap. She lives on a boat with her Mom. Her Dad disappeared when she was a baby. The lighthouse keeper, Mr. Beeston comes to the boat often. He brings doughnuts in a bag that has a symbol on it. Emily thinks he is drugging her Mom. One day Emily starts swim class. She starts to not feel her legs. She rushes up to the instructor. He says “It’s just a cramp.” She lifts up her legs and they are fine. She sits out the rest of the time. This mean girl, Mandy Rushton, calls her fish girl. The next time she goes swimming she feels it again. She looks behind her and . . . well you will have to read the book to find out!

I like this book because it’s about something that can’t really happen. One of my favorite parts is when Emily figures out that Mr. Beeston is drugging her Mom. He has been doing it for so long and finally Emily has found out. The book reminds me of when I was little and was first swimming. I thought I would turn into a mermaid.

I would recommend this book to people who like magical adventures – this book is a perfect book for you! 7 to 12 year old children would love it! People should read this book because it is packed with adventure.
