The Best Story is a fantastic book with random things going on. When this girl goes to the Red Brick Library she sees l a poster that said best story written wins first place and a ride on the Dooper Looper roller coaster with Anne Miles. She knew right then she had to write an awesome story to win. She ran back home and had a hard time coming up with something to write about that would be the best. If you want to know if she won first place for writing the best story, read the book Best Story by Eileen Spinelli.The book had a lot of Random ideas going on. The girl always thought for a few seconds and then she would go ask her parents to help her with ideas. In the book things would change from one idea to one whole other idea. They get funnier when they change all the time. The parents have really crazy thoughts like the monkey falls in love with the pirate’s sister Grace. If the little girl wins the best story she gets to ride the Sooper Dooper Looper roller coaster with Anne Miles author of the Run Away Roller Coaster.
My favorite part was when the monkey got send to his goldfish funeral because it is weird that an animal has a pet that is an animal. I also love when the pirate started crying when he was chopping onions. The reason it’s my favorite part is that I have never heard that pirates cry. When I read this book it made me feel happy because funny things make me laugh. This book reminded me about myself working on Kids are Authors. The way it reminds me is that we have to write a story and if we write the best story we win a prize.
I recommend this book to people who love laughable books. If you do I recommend this book to people out there who like amusing books. You have to be a second grade level to read this book. If you are in higher grades you could still read this book for fun. Again, I would recommend this book to any kid who like funny and easy books.
