Percy Jackson and the Olympians The Lightning Thief

This Greek myth is about a twelve year old, half-blood boy named Percy Jackson. His best friend is Grover. In one part Percy went to a beach and there was an enormous hill. He saw a Minotaur. He told his mom and sleeping Grover to go to the car. He carried Grover. Lighting stuck the car and it blew up. He put Grover down on the hill. Percy jumped on the Minotaur. It swung him at a rock. Will he survive?

I like the action in this book. In one part Percy fights Medusa. The fighting reminded me of the time I watched Avatar because they fight the Americans. I like that the setting is at Camp Half Blood where his mom sent him. My mom sent me to camp before.

I recommended this book to ages 8-12. I recommend this book to boys because they would like the action.
