Goosebumps: Deep Trouble

Have you ever read any books in the Goosebumps series? This book is about when a boy named Billy and his sister Sheena visit their uncle Dr. Deep. Zoo managers ask Dr. Deep to look for a mermaid that fishers are said to see on fishing trips. Sheena, Dr. Deep and Dr. Deep’s assistant were all excited but Billy was scared. As they start their mermaid adventure, a shark attacks Billy and the mermaid they are looking for saves him. Dr. Deep then catches the mermaid and Billy. Secretly, Dr. Deep’s assistant sends the mermaid away and sells her to a zoo for the money. Can you believe that?

I like this book because it shows you that you can believe in what you want. Billy believed the mermaid needed a real home and not just live in a tank. My favorite character is Billy. I like Billy because he is adventurous, even though sometimes he gets scared. My favorite part of the book is when Dr. Deep's assistant sends the mermaid away for money. I liked this part because even though Dr. Deep's assistant was very sneaky, he wanted to use the money for a good cause.

I would recommend this book to all third graders. I know most of you like scary books and mysteries. This book is so scary that it might make you shiver!
