Matilda

Hey look there's a new smarty pants in town, and her name is Matilda. She is a four year old girl, and she is even smarter than an adult. Her parents are complete snobs. They like her brother better than her. On the first day of school, she makes two new friends, Miss Honey, Lavender. Then she meets the Trunchbull, the meanest principal, you would ever meet. Look out for the surprise ending.

This is one of my favorite books. My favorite character is Matilda because she always knows everything and she plays tricks on her father. Speaking of her father, he is one of the characters that I do not like. He calls Matilda a little twerp, I mean, where does she get it from, not her father nor the mother. One of the characters that changed is the Trunchbull. She always has a large temper, but she changes when she is going to hurt someone or explode.

I recommend this book to ages 9-12, because younger readers might not understand what is happening. I think you would like this book to read because you can really get a picture in your mine of what is happening. When you read this, will feel like you are right next to Matilda and the other characters in this book!
