Are You My Mother?

The story is about a baby bird that jumps out of the egg. Then he falls out of the tree. He tries to look for his mother. He was running along and saw a kitten. He asked the kitten, "Are you my mother?" The kitten didn't say anything. He went to the airplane, boat, and other animals to see if they were his mother. Then he walked up to a big thing that snorted. He was scared. It was puffing out smoke. The thing put him in the tree and then he found his mother.

I liked the book because it was funny when the baby bird went up to the kitten and opened his mouth so wide it almost locked open. I liked the part when the big machine was tooting away. This story reminds me of the time I was lost in the library. I was scared. I heard my mom's voice and then I found her.

I think other children should read this book so that they can laugh. This is a good book for kids and their moms to read together.
