Dear Mr. Henshaw

This story is about a boy name Leigh Botts who writes letters to Mr.Henshaw. In the letters, it tells about his life. Leigh's dad and mom are divorced. Some kid tries stealing Leigh's lunch, so Leigh makes a lunchbox that when you open it, it makes a loud noise. Leigh has a dog name Bandit, but Bandit got lost. At the end of the story, his dad finds Bandit.

"Diary of a Worm", by Doreen Cronin, is just like Dear Mr. Henshaw because a worm writes in a diary. Leigh made up a diary in this book, too. I do not like this book because it reminds me of my cousin's mom and dad. They are divorced, too, just like Leigh's mom and dad. This book was sad because I felt bad for Leigh. I would never want my parents to be divorced because I love them both.

I don't recommend this book because it's sad and it makes you blue because Leigh's parents are divorced. Kids nine and older can read this book.
