The Magic Tree House: High Tide in Hawaii

In High Tide in Hawaii by Mary Pope Osborne, Jack and Annie are eight and seven. They have a mission in Hawaii. They meet a brother and sister and they are letting them stay in their hut. Jack and Annie need to make a boat so they can get the magic. Then a big tidal wave comes. Will they get home safely? Read the book to find out what happens.

I think this book is really fun to read. The author tells a lot of details about Hawaii like that it is in the Pacific Ocean and that people who live there love to dance and surf. I like when Jack and Annie go surfing in the story. When they go surfing there is a big wave. I love the illustration of the big wave because it stretches through two pages.

I would recommend this book to students who want to go on adventures. One reason why is because Annie and Jack go on adventures. Also students will learn about Hawaii. You should get this book because you will learn about Hawaii and love the story.
