Flying Solo

Have you ever read a really great chapter book? I have read a really great chapter book. It's called... Flying Solo. This book is about a class with an awesome teacher called Mr. Fab. One day he never showed up. Something very bad happens to two of the students. When the students realize that they should have had a substitute, they don't know what to do. So they try to do the right thing. What do you think will happen next?

This was one of my favorite books because the characters had to try to figure out how to run the class by themselves. This book was written by Ralph Fletcher. If you like that author you should read Flying Solo. I never wanted to stop reading this book because Ralph Fletcher made the characters come to life. Maybe you should try reading this book. My favorite character was Rachel. She was one of the characters that reminded me of my life like how her parents are divorced like mine are. There are a whole lot of characters in this book, but one of them might connect with you, just as one did with me. When I read this book I found out so many things that I never knew about. I never knew that kids could run a class by themselves without hurting themselves and that kids could go a whole day without telling the secret to any of the teachers. This was one of the best books that I have ever read.

I would recommend this book to kids 10-17 because they can connect with all the characters and understand what is happening in the book.
