The Cricket in Times Square

This book is about a cat, a mouse and a cricket. Chester Cricket got trapped in a picnic basket in his home state of Connecticut. He ended up being taken to New York City. The three main animal characters cared for each other. For example, when a fire started in the newsstand, where they were having a celebration, Chester set the alarm clock off to get for help. The animals ended up as friends.

My favorite part was when Chester started playing mama's favorite song and mama started dancing. The music was nice. The book made me feel happy because because Mario got to have his first pet.

I like this book because the animals became best friends. I also liked it because it was funny. I laughed when Harry Cat was trying to sing. If you want to share the fun read the book!
